With CSCx2026 being held in Toronto this year, the Murphy Group held an informal reunion to celebrate 20 years of Murphsters! Cheers to 20 years!

Welcome to our new summer students! We have three new faces joining the Murphy Group for this summer (Han-chi, Serena, and YiLe). A warm welcome to them all!

Happy Women's Pizza Month! The Murphy Group celebrated International Women's Day and Women's Pizza Month by redeeming our pizza party prize from the Department's holiday party video contest! A special thank you to Alistair from the Wilson Lab for helping us film our video :)

The Murphy Group has been hard at work for the past few weeks and we're excited for the winter break. We wish everyone a happy holiday season and we hope you all have a restful and rejuvenating break! See you in the new year! ❄️🎁🌲

Happy Halloween! 👻🎃 The Smurphsters participated in the annual ChemClub pumpkin carving and costume contests, taking home 2nd place in both of them!! Our winning pumpkin design featured Jackson Lanterns, a country pumpkin with a dream to make it big in Nashville 🪕 Stay tuned for next year!

The Murphy group went out for bubble tea after our group meeting!

Last week, Isabelle, Olivia, and Xiaoying all gave oral presentations at the 2024 AGU meeting, and got to meet several alumni from the group who were also attending.

All smiles in the Murphy group as we welcome our new members, Camille (MSc student) and Shyam (MSci student from Imperial College London).

The Murphy group did some Fall cleaning around the lab and celebrated our hard work with pizza on the Lash Miller lawn!
